WIN a class trip to Butterfly World

20 July 2010

The Maltings Shopping Centre is launching a brand new and exciting competition giving the chance for one child to win a trip to Butterfly World for their whole class.

For the chance to win up to 30 child and four adult tickets, we are asking children to create a butterfly picture using whatever means they wish, from crayons and pencils to paint and glitter.

For your schools chance to win 30 child and four adult tickets, all we are asking your pupils to do is to create a butterfly picture using whatever means they like.  The closing date for the competition is Friday 10th September, so there is plenty of time to create a picture over the summer holidays.

The winning school will be announced on Monday 13th September and the school will choose a date between Monday 20th and Friday 24th September to visit Butterfly World.

Having opened in April, Butterfly World is set in 27 acres in Chiswell Green and is the biggest butterfly experience in the whole world.

It gives visitors the chance to experience a tropical butterfly house, a butterfly breeding house and huge wildflower meadow housing hundreds of butterflies.

Phil Corrigan, Centre Manager at the Maltings commented:

"There is so much going on in and around St Albans at the moment and we wanted to celebrate that.  This is a great opportunity for one class to visit a fantastic place that is right on their doorstep."
